Question Satin finish?

Hey guys. I was just wondering how to clean the satin finish on my Precision bass. I'm not going to use guitar polish because that would probably fuck it up somehow. There is nothing dirty on the finish or anything... I just want to give it a good clean when I do some general maintenance. So what should I use?

Thanks in advance guys!

Sorry guys. I haven't been able to take any photos of my own bass... but I did find some photos of instruments with the exact same finish floating around on the net. The finish is called 'walnut satin'.

That seems like guitar polish would't fuck it up actually, but just try it in one spot on the back of your bass to see its effect.

Yeah I could give that a try. It's strange, because the part where my arm hangs over the body when I play is all glossy now. I think years of skin and clothing touching it buffed it smooth.
