RECORDING

Hey guys I'm the singer of a death metal band. In live shows and practices my voice sounds fine. But when I try to record my highs, I can't seem to get the same sound. It doesn't feel like it does when I'm playing live.

Any suggestions on how to do highs/black metal rasps. or even tips on recording??

thanks.

when you do highs live you use a studio mic, which has gain and compression on it no matter what

studio mics are clearer.
just do layers and then add a little gain and maybe studio reverb to it.
