Question I'm having trouble reading tabs.

I'm going to be getting a bass soon, so I checked out some tabs and I don't understand them. I get the different strings and frets, but why is the rythem all screwed up? In drum tabs the rythem actually is written out. Why isn't that so for basses? Tips?

Yes, the technique is just listen to the song, It my country It is called the "Sepra" technique, but if your doing metal stuffs, listening to the bass rhythm is impossible, they are over whelmed by guitar and drum beats.

it takes a careful ear, but with most metal bands the bassist is doing the same thing as the guitar player without the chords and with the occasionally added fifth or 8th. Just buy some studio monitors and crank up the bass frequencies. Its that easy.
