Turning off time signatures?

I find it so pissy when i just want to get a feel for song I'm writing, but have to worry about making sure it's in the correct time sig and the notes are correct for the current time sig.

So...is there an option to turn off time sigs or perhaps make time sig/note correspondence automatic in either Ptb or GP?

Gah, it doesn't really work. My score gets filled with countless 32nd notes. Guess I'll have to slug it out and do it the normal way...

Yes, I'm sure! Anyway, I just got into tabbing a piece I'm writing, and it's not that difficult, so I guess I won't be needing the above options after all.
