you can make them sound like that if thats the sound you prefer. Ive played one and it was pretty cool, fairly versatile. But now i play an old school rogers snare that i kinda souped up

I tried one out and i didnt like it. I doubt you would get the sound from Origins III with one. It sounds like a standard metal snare with no muffling. Well I'll find out when i go to see john longstreths kit fairly soon.

For the record it's called echos of decimation, not Origins III.
