"Reborn Empowered" by Living Sacrifice
Taken from the album "Reborn" by Living Sacrifice

 tabbed by SEAN (me)

and just like almost every other song on Reborn, the tuning is
drop d flat tuning (drop d, then tune the whole thing down half a step)

Legend
pm= palm mute                           b= bend
x, unless otherwise stated is a full mute r= release

intro
drum pattern 1-2-3x--1-2-3-4x--1-2x--1-2-3x--1-2-3-4x--
and so on and so forth...

When you see an ‘x' play this

            d---x-x
            a---0-0
            D---0-0
         pm........

Then Lance does his sweet drum thing at 1 minute in....

Riff 1 x 4
d---------------------------
a---3333333332------------------------
D---3333333332-----------------------

Riff 2 play that about 7 times
***make sure after each ‘0 ‘ you mute the stings completely for a fraction
d-----------------------
a--0x0x0x0x0--3-2-3-6----------------
D--0x0x0x0x0--3-2-3-6-----------------

Riff 3 do this once
**once again, mute those strings
d----------------------------------
a------0x0x0x0x0----------------------------
D------0x0x0x0x0----------------------------
p/m ..................
Riff 4
** do part in brackets first time only, then repeat the rest 4 times
d--//--------\\------------------------
a--//-323-6\\-----00000--00000------------------------
D--//-323-6\\-----00000--00000--76---2b4-------------------
                        ........... ...........
Riff 5...lucky you, there is no riff 5, aren't you happy

Riff 6---the tunes for "Jesus, strength in Christ's name"---do this 4 times,
i believe...

d--------------------------------
a---0---2----3----0----2-3-2-3-6------------------------------
D---0---2----3----0----2-3-2-3-6------------------------------

now do Riff 2...Do It...4 times..come on do it
as you hit the last note of riff 2, for the 4th time, continue
on with riff 7...they should
be together for this part, but they aren't so suck it up...

Riff 7
Guitar 2
d --66---666---6666---66---666---6666--
a --66---666---6666---66---666---6666--
D---66---666---6666---66---666---6666--

Riff 8

Guitar 2

d---------------
a--44--444--4444--44--444--4444---
D--------------

Guitar 1
*x's in this riff represent guitar 2's riff, when he's playing the 4's,
then guitar 1 plays the tab shown...

d--xx------xxx-----xxxx----
a--xx--00-xxx-00-xxxx-00---------
D--xx--00-xxx-00-xxxx-00---------, etc...
          .... ..... ......

Riff 9
**the number of times each note is played should be right, however,
the timing can be tricky. You'll have to add the appropriate mutes in
there, its up to you if you even want to mute. Doing a partial
palm mute sounds pretty good.

The part outside of the stars (first part) doesn't repeat....
to experiment with the sound,
throw a couple of ‘1's in the star part, instead of all open

do the part in the stars 7 times
Guitar 2 * *
d --00----00-----00-----00------0-0--0-0-0--0000
a --00----00-----00-----00------0-0--0-0-0--0000
D--00----00-----00-----00------0-0--0-0-0--0000

Guitar 1
on guitar 1's 4th time doing the part inside of the stars,
guitar 1 plays this and keeps playing this riff even as guitar 2 moves
onto riff 10

d------------6~~~~-
a----5~~~~---------
D------------

Riff 10...the riff that almost made me cry, cause I'm so emo???
...but really...its a good one

d -----------5-7-8-7-5-----------------------------------------
a ---5-7-8--------------8-7-5-7----------------------------------
D----------------------------------8-7-5-7-------------------

OK...do that 3 times, then on the fourth time play this...this
isn't on the cd, but its done live and sounds just splendid......
............f.y.i. those are 12 frets, not 1 and 2

d -----------5-7-8-7-5----------------12-12-12------
a ---5-7-8--------------8-7-5-7-8-5---------------
D-----------------------------------------------------

do ALL of that again, then at the end of that as Bruce
screams "Reborn", play....

Riff 11 x 2, on the second time, there's a small break, you can figure that out.

d
a 0x-0x-00x--0000x-0x-0x-00x----000
D 0x-0x-00x--0000x-0x-0x-00x----000
....... .......strum that last sequence quickly,
and heavy palm mute

confused yet? Play riff 10 over again, as instructed, and at the end,
where you played Riff 11, play Riff 12 instead.

Then do
Riff 6 x4

then
Riff 2 x 4

at the end of the 4th time, end on this
between the zero's, there's a base line...so don't think the space = the timing

d-----66--666--6666--66--666--6666---00--00--00--00--00
a-----66--666--6666--66--666--6666---00--00--00--00--00
D-----66--666--6666--66--666--6666---00--00--00--00--00
